Description: The present study titled “Study on Marketing Mix and Competitive Analysis of Surf Excel Brand” aims to evaluate the marketing strategies adopted by Surf Excel and to analyze its position within the highly competitive Indian detergent market, particularly in the context of Mumbai City. A sample size of 100 respondents—comprising households and retail consumers—was surveyed through structured questionnaires to understand perceptions regarding product quality, pricing, promotional effectiveness, and distribution reach of Surf Excel. The research focuses on the 4 Ps of marketing—Product, Price, Place, and Promotion—to assess how Surf Excel differentiates itself from competitors such as Ariel, Tide, and Ghari. Data were collected through primary methods (questionnaires, interviews) and secondary sources (market reports, advertisements, and brand literature). Statistical tools like percentage analysis and comparative charts were used to interpret consumer preferences and brand positioning.
