Description: The aim of this study is to get information and knowledge about the digital transformation of human resources (HR) processes in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) using robotic process automation (RPA) to increase competitiveness in the digital industry. SMEs try to reduce the gap with other large companies by implementing projects that enable the introduction of new technologies in HR departments. This study presents some preliminary results on the effective implementation of certain HR processes in SMEs using RPA. The study offers a brief introduction to the concept of RPA and a list of human resource processes that are automated in companies, where both qualitative and quantitative benefits for the company and employees are outlined for each human resource process. In addition, a case study for automated candidate collection and documents extraction of key information from them were discussed. In addition, problems observed during implementation and possible solutions were listed. Given the benefits it offers, RPA could play an important role in bringing HR functions into the digital age.
