Description: Training and development constitute an ongoing process in any organization. A new employee will need training for the purpose of developing the necessary skills for performing his job perfectly. The study is conducted in Thiashola plantations private limited to understand the executives perception regarding training and development system. The study is carried out with the objective of finding out the perception of the executives regarding various training and development programme offered and to find out their perception of the regarding the effectiveness of training and development programme so as to provide recommendations based on findings. For the purpose of fulfilling the objective the researcher has adopted descriptive research design taking into consideration all the 45 executives. The data is collected both from primary and secondary sources. Questionnaire method was used for primary data collection which is divided into three divisions dealing with Demographic profile of executives, Training Programme details and Perception regarding training and development.
